Triple H made his way to WWE in 1995 after a brief stint in WCW. He went on to become one of the most popular wrestlers of all time and is a 14-time World Champion.
Triple H has done it all in WWE. Be it headlining multiple WrestleMania events, beating the very best in the ring, or putting over young talents — ‘The King of Kings’ has contributed to the business like very few have. He is one of the most revered guys in the industry, mostly due to his work with WWE NXT over the past few years.
Triple H had the following to say after 25 years in WWE:
“Every single person that I met, worked with along the way, got in the ring with, I learned something from. They were a cog in the wheel of me being here for 25 years, doing what I’ve been able to do. The things I’ve learned, to be in the spot I’m init’s been a hell of a ride,” said Triple H.
The 52-year-old’s last WWE match was a draw against arch-rival Randy Orton on the January 11, 2021, edition of WWE RAW. He’s been involved in a backstage capacity in WWE for a long time now and is likely done as an active in-ring competitor.

What To Expect The Day Of Surgery
You should prepare to stay in the hospital for approximately seven days after your surgery. It is helpful to have someone at the hospital for support for some of this time.
After you check-in, you will go to a preoperative area where you will be instructed to change into a hospital gown.
You will meet with a member of the anesthesia team and surgical team to go over the procedure and sign consent forms. You may be asked to provide a urine specimen.
Intravenous access is started in the pre-operative area. This will be used for anesthesia, antibiotics, and blood products.

Shawn Michaels has commented on the status of Triple H following The Game having to do undergo heart surgery several months ago.
News first broke of Triple Hs medical condition when WWE issued a statement on September 8, 2021, revealing that The Game was recovering after a successful procedure following what they called a cardiac event. The full statement read:

Nearly two weeks after that statement, Triple H himself made his first public comment on the matter. The WWE COO said that he is blown away by the outreach and support from so many people. He went on to say that he is recovering, doing well, and deeply grateful for all the love in life.
Triple H has only been seen on WWE duty publicly once since then when he was spotted touring what will become the companys new headquarters some time in 2022. That has left NXT and its revamp in the hands of Triple Hs long-time friend and fellow degenerate Shawn Michaels.
Speaking to Denise Salcedo, Michaels discussed Triple Hs recovery and how after slogging away at the coalface for so many years, the fourteen-time world champion might even be now relishing the break:

The in-ring career of one of WWE’s greatest stars appears to be over with Triple H tipped not to return.
The 14-time world champion, who is also a two-time Royal Rumble winner and a former King of the Ring, currently serves as the company’s executive vice-president.
He has been largely credited in the past decade for the successful development of NXT, a WWE promotion used to identify young talent and prepare wrestlers for the main roster.
And although his actual wrestling appearances have been sporadic since helping oversee the promotion, he has still consistently featured in storylines, with his last televised match coming in January 2021 when he wrestled Randy Orton to a no contest on the main event on Raw.
However Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, has shot down the prospect of ‘The Game’ also returning.
When the idea was put to the renowned wrestling journalist, he said “Triple H would be a terrible idea.
“His heart situation is, well he cant. I dont want to say never, because thats unfair.
“Maybe he can do something, but that would be a horrible idea for him and thats not going to happen this year. Theres no way.”

Triple H Says Hes Back At The Wwe Office After Near
Paul Triple H Levesque announced his retirement from the ring yesterday while providing the scary details about his 2021 heart failure scare to ESPNs Stephen A. Smith.

Levesque said hed never been diagnosed with cholesterol issues or high blood pressure. It was known that he had an enlarged heart, but thats a common enough condition among people who train extensively that it has a name athletes heart. No one ever spoke to him about taking medication or treating a heart condition.
Heart issues do run in his family, so theres a genetic component. His father had triple bypass surgery at age 62, and his grandfather died of heart disease when he was 70. Levesque recently learned his great-grandfather died suddenly when he was only 52 years old.
With the defibrillator surgically implanted in his chest, he cant ever wrestle again. The 14 time WWE World champ said hes okay with that. There were plans for him to work WrestleMania 38 before his health issues, but those were an example of his being mostly retired except for the right opportunity. His in-ring career may be over, but Levesque has returned to work at WWE, where hes the companys executive vice president of global talent strategy and development:

Wwe’s Triple H Talks Genetic Heart Issue Staying Quiet During Recovery Scouting Talent

Paul “Triple H” Levesque has opened up about his family history of heart problems, staying quiet during his recovery, as well as what WWE looks for when scouting talent.
During a sit-down interview with ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith released Friday, Levesque went into further details about the cardiac event he suffered last September.
“When they got inside, I basically genetically had a 99.9% blockage in my left anterior descending artery, which is what they call the widowmaker. My heart had started to create a secondary pathway, but that was clogged as well. So, I was basically moments away. If I’d have thrown a clot of any type or had any kind of thickening, I was gone,” he said.
He also disclosed a family history of heart-related problems.
“My dad had a triple bypass at 62, my grandfather passed away at 70 from heart disease. I didn’t know, I just found out a couple of weeks prior to that my great-grandfather had died at 52, sudden death. So, it was a genetic issue,” he said.
Levesque made few public statements in the months following his cardiac event. He was asked why he decided to stay quiet during this time.
“The not saying anything was not knowing. Then you’re in the thick of it and it’s like this whirlwind of stuff coming in that you’re confused about. You don’t want to speak about something and be wrong on it and have to go back later and correct yourself.”
Levesque continued to speak on scouting and discovering talent to bring into WWE.

Triple H Issues First Statement Since Heart Surgery
WWE Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development Paul “Triple H” Levesque took to Twitter this evening with his first public comments since his recent heart surgery.
As we’ve noted, WWE announced back on September 8 that Triple H underwent successful heart surgery the week before at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT. It was stated that the operation was needed after Triple H suffered a cardiac event, caused by a genetic heart issue. WWE’s statement noted how Triple H is expected to make a full recovery.
In an update, Triple H tweeted this evening and said he’s doing well in his recovery. He also commented on being grateful for the support from WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, and everyone else at NXT.
“I’ve been blown away by the outreach and support from so many people. I’m recovering, doing well, & deeply grateful for all the love in my life. Especially grateful for @ShawnMichaels & all the Superstars & crew @WWENXT! See you soon ,” he wrote.
There is no word on when Triple H will return to work, but we will keep you updated. It was reported on September 17 that Triple H was in good enough shape that he’d been taking phone calls. WWE talents were told that they can call and wish him well, but that they were not to talk about any WWE business with him. Triple H did miss last week’s NXT 2.0 revamp episode.

Paul Levesque, better known to professional wrestling fans as “Triple H,” announced Friday he is retiring from in-ring competition following a recent heart procedure.
Levesque, 52, made the announcement on ESPN’s First Take during an interview with Stephen A. Smith. The now-retired wrestler is currently WWE’s executive vice president of global talent strategy and development. His wife is WWE chief brand officer Stephanie McMahon, who is the daughter of WWE chairman-CEO Vince McMahon.
WWE announced on September 8 that Levesque had undergone successful heart surgery after suffering what was called a “cardiac event.”
He told Smith that he had viral pneumonia in his lungs and suffered heart failure. Levesque also revealed a defibrillator was placed in his chest. Describing to Smith how close he was to death, Levesque said he was at “the 1-yard line.”
Levesque has held numerous championship titles in the WWE and has been world champion 14 times. He debuted in 1992, but in recent years he has competed on a more limited schedule. His final match came on January 11, 2021, where he wrestled Randy Orton to a no-contest on Monday Night Raw.
After a post announcing Levesque’s retirement, WWE’s official account followed up with a simple tribute to the career of Triple H, calling him the “King of Kings.”

This question might’ve popped into the brains of many fans. According to a report from the Wrestling Observer, Triple H may not be able to wrestle again. It’s saddening to hear that the King of Kings couldn’t have his last match on his terms.
If you’re wondering what that match was, The Game faced Randy Orton in 2021. Orton was originally scheduled to wrestle Drew McIntryre on RAW before WrestleMania but McIntyre, unfortunately, tested positive for COVID-19.
This led to WWE announcing a match between the two veterans to main event the show. The match ended in no contest as Alexa Bliss interfered and attacked Orton with a fireball.
Wrestlers are known to come out of retirement if they miraculously get cleared by WWE doctors. Edge and Daniel Bryan are prime examples. In the coming years, we hope that the former world champion gets cleared and retires on his terms.

I will never wrestle again, Paul Levesque, AKA Triple H, said on a Friday appearance on ESPNs First Take. During his interview on the show, Levesque detailed how a battle with viral pneumonia eventually led to doctors discovering he had fluid in his lungs and around his heart. His condition then led to heart failure since the organ was only working at a fraction of its normal strength.
I was nose-diving and sort of at the 1-yard line of where you dont want to be really, for your family and your future, said Levesque. There are moments in there when theyre putting you out for stuff and you think, Is this it? Do you wake up from this? Thats tough to swallow and makes you think differently.

Triple H has not fought since June 2019 when he lost to Randy Orton at Super Showdown.

Asked about plans to climb back between the ropes, he told The Bill Simmons Podcast: Right now, zero. I just feel like there’s a moment where you go, ‘I’m retired’, but you’re not.
I’d rather just not say it and if the right opportunity comes up that everybody believes is right, and I believe I can do it without it falling apart, me or the match, then okay, I would consider it.
I am not at a point where I would say, ‘Absolutely not, under any circumstances, but probably not that far off.’
The thing for me that’s good is I’m so transitioned over and satisfied with the other aspects of my career and my life and everything else, I get as much fun and excitement out of watching others do it and succeed at it.
However, his daughter Aurora Rose is already training to follow in her fathers footsteps.
Stephanie previously revealed: My eldest daughter has already started training and I would encourage them to follow their passion and whatever they believe in as long as they work hard at it.
