There has been no change in the nation’s top five hospitals for cardiology and heart surgery, according to US News & World Report latest rankings.
In the magazine’s 2022-2023 rankings, the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio is once again the number 1 hospital for cardiology and heart surgery in the United States.
The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota once again holds the number 2 spot, while Cedars-Sinai, Los Angeles, sits at number 3.
New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia and Cornell in New York City is number 4, and NYU Langone Hospitals, New York City continues to hold the number 5 spot.
These five rankings are the same as last year.
Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City is number 6, and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston is number 7 .
Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago takes over the number 8 spot this year from Stanford Health Care-Stanford Hospital, California, which drops to number 9 on the latest rankings.
Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston holds the number 10 spot .
The rankings highlight hospitals’ delivery of “exceptional treatment across multiple areas of care,” the magazine says.
“For patients considering their options for where to get care, the Best Hospitals rankings are designed to help them and their medical professionals identify hospitals that excel in the kind of care they may need,” Ben Harder, chief of health analysis and managing editor at US News, said in a news release.
